From: Associated Students of Oregon State University
Fellow students,
The Associated Students of Oregon State University (ASOSU) is your recognized student government and is hiring for the 2025-2026 academic year! We welcome and strongly encourage all eligible students to apply.
My name is Kayla Ramirez, and I’m honored to serve as the President of the Associated Students of Oregon State University (ASOSU). I’m joined by Masha Mogylevsky, your Vice President. Together, alongside the officers and staff of ASOSU, we are excited to represent and advocate for all students at Oregon State University.
ASOSU plays a vital role on campus. Our vision for this upcoming year is guided by a simple truth: Oregon State University belongs to its students, and your voices must shape the decisions that affect our lives here. In addition to representing student voices across the
university, we oversee the allocation of over ~36 million in student fees that directly supports programming, services, and resources students use every day. As we begin to kick off this year, we want to share ways for you to get involved in ASOSU and make a direct impact on campus. Right now, we are recruiting for several critical positions:
Executive Branch Staff - Work alongside the ASOSU Executive team to advance student-centered projects and advocacy efforts. Members work closely with campus partners to address issues facing students. This year, our administration's focus is on basic needs, international/immigrant student advocacy, survivor resources, student workers’ rights, and more! Applications are due Sunday, August 31st, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
ASOSU Senate Vacancies – There is currently one Graduate student seat vacancy in the legislative branch of student government! Help shape policies that affect the student body, represent your peers, engage in meaningful discussions, and make decisions on funding, governance, and advocacy initiatives!
Judicial Council (JC) - Play a key role in upholding accountability in ASOSU. As a member of the JC, you’ll review cases, interpret our governing documents, and ensure that our Constitution and Statues are followed.
Faculty Senate Committees - Represent the student voice and work alongside faculty, having a seat at the table when policies are being developed on academic standards, curriculum, or other issues that can directly impact the educational experience.
These are all paid opportunities to serve your peers, develop your leadership, and leave a lasting impact on the OSU community. More information on these positions and applications for Judicial Council, Faculty Senate, and ASOSU Senate is available here. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at asosu@oregonstate.edu.
We encourage all students, regardless of background or experience, to apply! We look forward to working with you and hope to see many of you involved in ASOSU this year. If you ever need anything, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly. GO BEAVS!
You are a student. You have a voice. Make it known!
In Solidarity, Kayla Ramirez — ASOSU President, asosu.pres@oregonstate.edu, Masha Mogylevsky — ASOSU Vice President, asosu.vp@oregonstate.edu
