From: Office of the Provost & Executive Vice President
Dear OSU-Cascades Colleagues:
On behalf of Provost Feser and the Chancellor and Dean Search Advisory Committee, I am pleased to share confirmed interview dates for our four finalists.
From: Office of the Provost & Executive Vice President
Greetings. Please mark your calendars for the following candidate forums. The schedule for our 4th candidate is not yet confirmed – the dates are set, but the start times for the forums are tentative. We’ll share an update when the forums are confirmed.
Over the last few days, we all have likely experienced sadness and outrage over viewing the appalling video of Tyre Nichols being brutally beaten by five Memphis police officers. Sadly, Mr. Nichols died from these injuries.
On Monday, we will honor the work, leadership and sacrifice of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., an extraordinary American whose legacy as a civil rights leader, social activist and Nobel Peace Prize recipient serves as an inspiration for us all.
From:Search Advisory Committee for the OSU-Cascades Chancellor and Dean
Dear OSU-Cascades Students,
The Search Advisory Committee for the OSU-Cascades Chancellor and Dean seeks your input. We will hold a listening session (via Zoom) tomorrow afternoon to hear from OSU-Cascades students. Your input will be used to inform the position profile that will be used to recruit candidates for this important leadership role.
On Friday, we will join fellow Oregon State University students and colleagues by honoring veterans for their service to our country. As a campus community, we especially recognize veterans who are fellow students, faculty and staff. Their contributions, and the sacrifices of their families, deserve our sincerest gratitude.
Please take a few moments to review how OSU-Cascades will notify students and employees if it becomes necessary to close, delay opening or curtail campus operations due to hazardous weather this winter. The information will be distributed or posted no later than 6 a.m. and earlier, when possible.
In the event of campus closure, delayed opening or curtailment at OSU-Cascades:
The personal safety of students, faculty, staff and visitors to the OSU-Cascades campus is a top priority. In response to the shooting incident that occurred Sunday night at a Safeway store on Bend’s eastside, I encourage each of you to reaffirm a personal commitment to safety.
